15 Things That We Will Focus On More, Alter, And No Longer Give A Sh*T About Or Put Up With In 2020

I am not a huge fan of that whole New-Year-New-Me-Bullshit. Because of so many reasons. At the top of the list. When the ball drops, you're still the same person you were at 11:59 p.m. as you are at 12:01 a.m. Sure, you have new goals and ambitions. I'm certainly not knocking that.  But, to add to the pressure this year, it will not only be the start of a new year, but it's also the start of a new decade.

Full. Circle. Baby.

A couple of months ago, I mentioned that I had a couple of things in the works that I would be embarking on after Christmas and beyond. The first thing was to create a Facebook page that would feature all of the scrumptious fare that is created in our kitchen. I post a lot of food photos on my Facebook wall. I've had a lot of encouragement to publish a cookbook, however, that's not something I want to do now. So, the next best thing is a Facebook page. The other thing in the works? I didn't tell. But...

Cleaning, Conversations, And A Good Ol' Mental And Emotional Cleanse

The weekend before New Year's Day, Lisa and I have a tradition. We deep clean our entire home. Remove clutter. Organize. Take down the indoor and outdoor Christmas decorations. It's kind of like Spring cleaning. That's what we did this weekend. We had a fantastic time.

The Mug That Gave Me A Lot Of Clarity

Lisa bought me this mug almost 2 weeks ago. It was filled with Andes Mints. But. Those are gone by now because that is one of my few favorite candies. Since she presented me with this mug, it's the mug I drink my morning coffee out of. And, I know that she purchased this for me because of a few things going on. It was a gift to remind myself to add humor and laugh at those particular situations.

This Photo Completely Represents How I Felt Today

The past month and a half has been a complete blur. Especially the past few weeks. Between our Bodacious 12 Days of Christmas, putting the final touches on our Bodacious 2019 Holiday pieces, baking, delivering lots of Bodacious Holiday Love and Cheer, housework, and my usual Bodacious Work at Home Dog Mom Stuff, it has been beyond busy. It didn't stop even on Christmas Day.

The Rush Is Over. Exhale.

After a record 6 day stretch of Christmas baking, yesterday was the last day. As with each year, I always save Lisa's favorites for last. Brown butter cranberry bread made with my homemade cranberry compote. Peanut butter kiss cookies. And, festive peanut butter balls.

We Were Honored To Make And Deliver This Scrumptious Basket Of Holiday Love And Cheer

A couple of days ago, we made and delivered a basket of goodies to a special gentleman who is in the Coast Guard. This basket was filled with fresh baked goods, fruit, a wooden handcrafted ornament, hot chocolate and marshmallows. It was a special request from someone I have known since my early years in high school.

I Baked Over 300 Cookies Today And That Is Just The Beginning

You could say that my Christmas Baking began today. It did. I baked over 300 cookies. Chocolate chip. Chocolate sea salt caramel chip. Cinnamon roll. Mint chocolate chip. Most of these cookies will be arranged in a deep dish platter for Lisa to take to work tomorrow for her crew. I will have enough left over for a dozen bags. And, I made a few of my huge 9 inch chocolate chip cookies drizzled with milk chocolate.

Today I Was Reminded Of The 1998 Ice Storm

We had a winter storm that began on the overnight and continued through today. It was one of those winter storms where no one could accurately predict what was going to happen and where. On the overnight, it snowed. About a half hour before Lisa left for work, we had sleet and freezing rain.

No Response Today. But, It Is Coming...

A couple of days ago, I posted this photo on my personal Facebook wall. It was accompanied with, "Our sweet, sleepy Sophie. Yep. After an almost 18 hour work day, it's time for bed. On a side note, to those who think I sit on my ass all day and do nothing, think again. Middle. Finger. Extended." There was a reason why I posted this...

For My Birthday, I Felt Loved And Appreciated. But. I Also Learned A Few Things.

Today is my birthday. I'm sitting on the sofa with Willa. I tucked Lisa and our other kids into bed about an hour ago. I'm a little tired, but not enough to call it a night. I'm still savoring the festivities of the day amid getting some work done in the Bodacious DIY Dog Mom Project Workshop and organizing my obnoxious amount of sticky notes for the next 2 weeks.

The Bodacious 12 Days Of Christmas Began Today

Our Bodacious 12 Days of Christmas began today. We have spent many hours over the past few weeks creating these pieces. I'm not going to lie, most of the pieces are not quite finished yet, however, I've been working on them throughout the morning and afternoon hours every single day. Before I go any further, I need to mention a couple of things...
