A few weeks ago, I published a blog column about the new addition to our home office. Yep. This bed. Unlike the DIY dog beds that we have made in the past, this one was a little different.

I posted this photo less than a week ago. It is the "after" photo of the corner of one of our backyards. The largest of the two. Lisa cut down the fruit trees. We decided to keep about 5 feet of the apple tree for decoration and 3 feet of one of the pear trees to use as a support post for one of our DIY dragonflies.

We Are Tackling Our Landscaping With Gusto This Year

 

When we bought our house back in February of 2020, we agreed that we would not tackle any major landscaping during the first year. We wanted to let everything cycle through all of the seasons before we made any big decisions. There were a few exceptions.

A Year Ago, This Would Not Have Happened

 

This was my big project on Thursday. Making festive Easter bags filled with my homemade chocolate chip cookies that I baked in the afternoon. And I added a little Easter candy too. These were handed out yesterday to some hardworking essential employees. I honestly love doing this. Especially now. There is a reason for that.

We have a new addition to our home office. A dog bed for our kids. It's the first bed, out of many, that is not made out of wood. There is a story behind why this happened.
