It doesn't matter if I am in the shower or Lisa is. Our sweet baby boy, Coco, is right there. Making sure we get in and out of the shower safely.

I made the first batch of my homemade zucchini muffins late last month. I usually make zucchini bread and muffins well before. However. Since moving into the house, that we bought in 2020, we haven't had the haul of garden vegetables that we did in the past. From our neighbor friends and beyond.
One of my favorite Summer treats is garden fresh tomatoes. Those will always hold a special place in my heart. I remember my Grampie's gardens. Bursting with fresh-grown tomatoes. After spending an afternoon harvesting them, we would enjoy tomato sandwiches for lunch with fresh cucumber slices.
At our old home, we had (what we called) our Porch of Produce. Tilling a garden in the small backyard was not an option. Instead, we filled lots of big planter pots with soil, seeds, and plants. They did well.
For the past five months, we have been blessed with crossing paths with an incredible lady. Her name is Melissa. However. We refer to her as our favorite "Crazy Chicken Lady." Every other week, we purchase a few dozen farm-fresh eggs from her. These eggs are the best.
This photo hangs on our refrigerator. It was taken in the late 90's. Lisa is in the middle. She was the manager of one of the X-Tra Mart Convenience Store locations in Laconia, New Hampshire. I was her manager in training disguised as Winnie the Pooh. The day this photo was taken, we were helping out with the grand opening of a new location in Massachusetts.
Earlier this year, I had a conversation with a family member (my side). I am not close to this family member. This person has been out of my life (in my adult years) more than they have been in it. Since 2012, we have seen this family member once. In 2021.
I know I published a blog column about recreating our favorite takeout foods. Here. At home. From scratch. I post a lot of food photos on my personal Facebook wall. Often times I sound like a broken record because I begin or end with, "If you want the best. Make it yourself. At home."
There is a story that circulates on social media every once in a while. It's about a couple who has been married for over 40 years. The wife has been making his lunches for that same amount of time.
This was the scene during the Summer of 2021. Lisa was at the kitchen counter. Cutting and slicing a watermelon. The kids were all napping soundly. However. They always knew the sound and smell of a fresh watermelon being cut. It is one of their favorite fruits.
Just a quick blog column post. In the past, we have had a few people who have gifted us farm-fresh eggs. In return, we have gifted them baked goods and homemade dog treats. Over the past many few months. That has changed.
I really want to say that I don't know how long it's been since I published a blog post. However. I do. I could spend a few paragraphs apologizing. But. It's easier to just start writing and publishing again. We writers go through hiatuses. Life happens.
