Our Bodacious Rustic Pumpkin Sets Sold Out Within An Hour

Due to COVID, we did not offer any of our Bodacious Holiday items last year for sale. Instead, we made dozens and dozens of ornaments and other holiday pieces to spread lots of holiday love and cheer.  This year, we skipped our Spring and Summer goods. But. It's the Fall season now. And, we are revving things up slowly.

We Adore Our Simple Life

Lisa and I went on a date this morning. To our favorite orchard. We stocked up on more Fall goodies. Grabbed piping hot sugared cider doughnuts and an apple cider slushie on the way out.

Magic Happened In Our Bodacious Kitchen Yesterday

Lisa does not like to cook or bake. I do. Both have been my passion for many decades. This is one of the many ways that we balance each other. And. One of the reasons why kitchen time is part of my Work at Home Dog Mom schedule.

Dirty Laundry Shenanigans

All of our kids have their little quirks. Coco likes to gently chew on Lisa's dirty socks. Sophie does a yoga pose every time she pees. Willa likes to steal things off my desk. Lobo used to drag our slippers and shoes and flip-flops from Point A to one of the many DIY dog beds we have throughout our home.

Those Random Acts Of Kindness Really Do Make A Full Circle

When I cook and bake, I always make enough to share. That's who we are. That's what we've done for over 10 years. From baking cookies for Lisa's team members and sending her to work with extra dinners and baked goods to making meals for neighbor friends and making meals to assist those who have fallen on hard times or had surgery, we just do it.

We Will Embrace The Legacy Of Our Elders

When Lisa was on staycation for a week last month, her parents came to visit. For a day. It had been a long time since we had seen them. We were excited about their visit. It was the first time they would be visiting the house we bought in February of 2020.

The Summer Months Are Simply Just...Noisy

A little over a week ago, Lisa fired up the grill and slapped on a few burgers. While she was doing that, I made homemade baked fries in the oven. It doesn't sound like much, but when this meal comes together, it's better than any takeout burger meal.

It's Fall at our Bodacious House! Lots of honey nut squash, apples, warm cider doughnuts, a cider slushy, and fresh-pressed cider from our favorite orchard.

Could It Be? Finally?

Guess what's happening in my Bodacious DIY Dog Mom Workshop? We skipped 2020 because of Covid, but...we're back at it this year!

I Sipped My First Pumpkin Spice Latte In August. And, I Liked It.

There was a time when I waited until the first of October to enjoy anything related to the Fall season. Pumpkin Spice lattes.Fresh apple cider. Stocking up on apples and squash from our favorite orchard. Making the first pumpkin pie and pumpkin bread of the season. Devouring an obnoxious amount of Cortland apples. The list goes on.

We Are Exceptionally Grateful For Those Just Because Gifts

I have no shame in admitting that every so often I get caught up with life. Our kids. The busy. The chaos. The happenings in the world. The demanding schedules. Then. I exhale. Go through photos. Moments.

It Was A Rough Night, But We Got Through It

This was the scene in the wee hours of the morning while the remnants of Ida pounded us. I sent Lisa to bed shortly after she got home from work. I stayed up. On the sofa.

We Are Still Adjusting To Second Shift. But, We've Got This...

It's been 8 months since Lisa moved to the second shift. At first, we were not happy with the news despite the fact it was temporary. But. After the weeks rolled along, and the offer was on the table for it to become permanent, it didn't take long for us to come to the conclusion that it actually worked out for us.
