This Photo Completely Represents How I Felt Today

The past month and a half has been a complete blur. Especially the past few weeks. Between our Bodacious 12 Days of Christmas, putting the final touches on our Bodacious 2019 Holiday pieces, baking, delivering lots of Bodacious Holiday Love and Cheer, housework, and my usual Bodacious Work at Home Dog Mom Stuff, it has been beyond busy. It didn't stop even on Christmas Day.

Lisa delivered some gifts and goodies to our neighbor friends.

I stayed home because I woke up with a sore throat. I didn't want to risk spreading germs.

Finally, at 2 p.m., we were done.

We enjoyed giving our kids their gifts and exhaling a bit.

We made lasagna and garlic bread for dinner.

Cake for dessert.

Our evening ended early because Lisa had to work today.

After making her breakfast and lunch, I sat down to take my first sip of coffee.

I expressed that I could not believe that it was the day after Christmas.

When Lisa left for work, I had another cup of coffee.

"Please, caffeine, kick in."

Nope.

This photo reflects how I felt today.

I couldn't shake it.

I'm not going to be too hard on myself.

I expected it.

While I will be tackling my usual Work at Home Dog Mom stuff and housework and prepping dinners and lunches today and tomorrow, I'm not going to sweat the small stuff.

Because...

This weekend is the last weekend before the New Year and we have a tradition that we're going to dive into.

The weekend before New Year's Day, we go through our home and deep clean. Remove clutter. Organize. Put away all of our Christmas gifts. Take all of the indoor and outdoor Christmas decorations down. Deep clean the carpets.

It's kind of like Spring Cleaning.

To set the stage a bit, housework is done every single day in our home.

Over the years, we've donated clothing and household items to many.

We've had quite a few Bodacious Yard and Bake Sales.

So...

Honoring our tradition the weekend before New Year's Day isn't tedious.

But, it's just something we do.

And, it feels awesome.

We look forward to it.

Especially this year, because our "cleanse" doesn't include just stuff.

It includes some toxic humans.

Lots of conversations during the process of doing so.

I'll be writing more about that later...

Because.

Well.

You'll have to read more about that later...
