Every year, for the past few years, I like to offer a unique "limited quantity" Bodacious Holiday DIY Dog Mom Project item. Last year, we made dog bone welcome signs. This year, in addition to our 2018 Bodacious Personalized Holiday Ornaments, we came up with another cool Bodacious Holiday DIY Dog Mom Project. We're only making 12 of them.
The process of creating this year's Bodacious Holiday DIY Dog Mom Project has been quite lengthy. Last weekend, Lisa cut and sanded the 12 pieces. I gave each of them 2 coats of paint. Once dried, Lisa brought the pieces back down to her woodshop to distress.
Now, it's time for me to work my magic in my Bodacious DIY Dog Mom Project Workshop.
That's what I've been working on this weekend while Lisa has been resting on the sofa trying to recover from a nasty cold.
I have everything prepared to assemble these pieces.
Deciding on the fabric for each piece and cutting it out took a long time, but it's done.
When we sat down to eat dinner tonight, Lisa noticed a little bounce in my step.
"Okay, what happened while I was resting today? You're never this energetic on a Sunday evening."
"I got caught up on work stuff. I have everything done to assemble our Bodacious Holiday DIY Dog Mom Projects, and I've got a head start on the projects for our Bodacious 12 Days of Christmas."
Lisa was impressed.
"Wow! That's awesome!"
"Yeah. For the first time in a long time, I'm going to start a new week ahead of schedule."
I can't remember the last time this actually happened.
Maybe it has a lot to do with this being the first year we're not baking Holiday Bodacious Biscuit Love.
Maybe it has a lot to do with the changes we've made over the past year and more so, as of late.
Maybe it has a lot to do with distancing ourselves from certain situations and stuff that doesn't concern us.
Regardless...
It feels good.
