Our 2018 Bodacious Personalized Holiday Ornaments

Lisa and I had a lot of discussions last month about our 2018 Bodacious Holiday Ornaments. In 2016, we made bone shaped ornaments out of salt dough. Last year, Lisa cut and sanded small wood rectangles that I painted, distressed and personalized for holiday ornaments. This year, we wanted to do something different. Simple. Rustic.

One morning while Lisa was at work, I stumbled across a company that offered sliced pinewood. I've always loved the charm of sliced tree branches both big and small. I adore the rustic charm and simplicity.

When Lisa and I chatted a few hours later, I told her about the sliced pinewood. I sent her a photo. Her immediate response was, "YES!"

The slices of pinewood that I ordered are between 2 3/4 - 3 inches. The perfect size for holiday ornaments.

When they arrived, I couldn't wait to whip up some sample pieces.

We decided to offer 2 handpainted options. A snowman and pawprints.

Our sample pieces consisted of what will be our personal 2018 holiday ornaments.

After personalizing the ornaments, I coated them with our protective satin varnish and tied on some twine for hanging.

I'm in love with these ornaments. They're my favorite so far.

Earlier today, our 2018 Bodacious Personalized Holiday Ornaments were officially up for grabs.

The only catch...

We only have 25.

Once we're out, that's it.

As orders roll in, I'll be making the ornaments. My goal is to have them all finished and shipped and delivered by the end of this week.

Then...

We have another Bodacious Holiday Project that we're working on.

I'm not tellin' just yet...

Stay tuned.
