An Ode To My Wife

Happy Birthday to this incredible woman who I am beyond blessed and proud to call my wife. You're totally rockin' the big 54. I'm not going to lie. I'm a bit sentimental because we met 25 years ago. You, in your late '20s. I somehow managed to throw you a surprise birthday party when you hit the big 30.

Gah!

So long ago.

This photo was taken back in the late 90s. I am sportin' the Winnie the Pooh costume. You were a manager. I was your manager in training. We volunteered to help out at the new store in Haverhill, Massachusetts. The grand opening.

Good times. We will never forget Marc's hot air balloons made out of trash bags, coffee cups, and helium. And, the dinner he treated us to later that evening.

Here we are. Many years later. Rockin' it. Living our best life.

It sucked that you had to work on your birthday.

However.

Today, and on our staycation next week, I am SO looking forward to spoiling you with your favorite foods and freshly made pastry. Visiting our favorite farms and orchards. Tiny adventures. Making memories with our furry babies.

And...your birthday gift.

You are an amazing Wife and Dog Mom. The hardest worker I know. My best friend. Soulmate. Love of my life. Partner in this thing called life. My rock.

Day after day, we trudge through. With lots of love. Hard work. Laughs. Banter. Shenanigans. Our weirdo sense of humor.

I love you more than you will ever know. To the moon and back and beyond. And. I thank the Universe and Fate. Every single day.

That.

My someone is you.
