Instead Of Relaxing, We Decided To Paint The Bodacious DIY Dog Mom Project Workshop

Lisa was on vacation for a week. During that week, we got our entire house unpacked and decorated. It was a lot of work, but we conquered it. Our plan was to bust ass all week and take the weekend to unwind. But. Nope. That didn't happen. Instead...

We decided to paint the Bodacious DIY Dog Mom Project Workshop over the weekend because the walls were a bit dingy.

To back up a bit...

Our new house that we purchased last month was about 90% renovated. The 2 back rooms, being the Bodacious DIY Dog Mom Project Workshop and our bedroom, was not newly painted.

And, the kitchen counter needs a little love too, but we'll work on that later...

We plan on having a huge House Warming party on the 14th of this month.

The workshop leads to our screened in back porch.

Our plan for the House Warming party is to have all of the appetizers on the table in our dining room and the main fare in the Bodacious DIY Dog Mom Project Workshop.

So...

We wanted to make that room presentable. In order to do that, the walls needed to be painted. A fresh coat of paint to match the beautiful hardwood floors.

We picked a color and Lisa spent most of the weekend painting while I made curtains and hemmed our existing curtains.

Team effort.

The kids helped in their own way.

We all had a blast.

The music was on.

We danced and sang.

The kids enjoyed lots of time in their new outdoor playground.

At the end of the day, I enjoyed a glass of red in our home office while Lisa put away the paint and supplies.

It was a job well done.

We are looking forward to our House Warming party next weekend.

We still have a lot to do like organizing the basement and Lisa's woodshop and all of the yardwork.

But, that will happen over time.

This new chapter is feeling rather great...
