Wait. What. Is This Really Happening?

On Sunday, I posted this photo on my personal Facebook wall. It's our dining room. Accompanying the photo was a little quip that read, "I've always wanted a separate dining room with a big ol' heavy wood table and chairs, and an old heavy clay produce bowl in the center. When Lisa ran an errand today, she made sure to pick up items to fill the clay bowl. Clementine. Kiwi. Bananas. Mango. Avocado. Total yummy bliss. I'm a happy girl."

That was 2 days ago.

A lot has been happening in the world.

It appears that all of these happenings have spread to our area in the world.

The words "Corona Virus" and "COVID-19" have become all too familiar.

Quickly.

I'm not going to explain what those words are or include links to media coverage. I'm guessing, at this point, everyone is listening in.

In our neck of the woods, there is talk about schools and colleges closing for 2 weeks or until the Fall.

People are posting videos about what's happening overseas.

It's a too much information all at once.

On top of that, you can't believe everything you read or see on social media.

I've been on social media long enough to know how to check facts and dismiss the fiction.

What I've established is this...

We need to be aware.

We need to be concerned.

We need to take this seriously.

People need to stop hoarding toilet paper and hand sanitizer.

We need to prepare ourselves.

Things are moving quickly with this pandemic, especially since the president declared it a National Emergency.

What do you think?

What are you doing to prepare?
