Our New Chapter Begins Today

Shortly after 3 p.m. today, we officially became homeowners. Yep. I'm still trying to process it. We're beyond excited and happy to begin this new chapter in our life.

In the days before closing, we talked about having a celebratory dinner at our new house. We both agreed on cheese pizza. It's symbolic because that's the first meal we ate on our moving day when we moved here back in July of 2012.

After closing, we grabbed our camp table and outdoor chairs, brought them to the new house, and ordered a large cheese pizza.

We ate with gusto in the dining room.

I think we were both still in shock that we bought a house and it's ours.

We toured and made an offer on this house on January 12th.

The sellers accepted.

And, here we are 5 weeks later sitting in the dining room eating cheese pizza.

The next few days are going to be super busy. Although most of our belongings are in boxes, I still have to pack our kitchen essentials and other miscellaneous items.

This coming Saturday our Big Move will be happening.

We've got about a dozen friends who have volunteered to assist.

It's going to be crazy and chaotic, but in a good way.

This is our moment.

Our time.

A new chapter for our family.

We are beyond grateful.
