Halloween Ended With A Big Crash

Yesterday was Halloween. We hosted our 7th Annual Halloween Party. To back up a bit, at first, we were going to take a break this year. As in, no Halloween party. Then, we realized it had become a tradition so we wanted to honor that. More recently, due to the horrible weather, there was a big uproar on social media about towns canceling Halloween or rescheduling it. We decided to honor our tradition.

Shitty weather and all...

Thankfully, the rain let up during trick-or-treat hours.

The wind was not so forgivable.

We fed our neighborhood friends.

Delivered more.

We had about 22 cuties show up at our porch for candy.

We usually have over 50...

At the end of it all, it was a rollercoaster night.

The wind was brutal.

Toward the end of the evening, I decided to sit on the front porch for a bit just in case we had a few late trick-or-treaters.

By this time, the wind was powerful and scary.

Just as I was about to sit in the chair, the wind blew the chair out from under me. I fell. Hard.

I kept banging on the door for Lisa to help, but she thought it was the wind.

I got myself up and went inside.

By this morning, my back was bruised and the pain is through the roof.

Sigh.

Lisa has today off. She put her foot down.

"You're not doing anything today. You either rest on the sofa or in bed."

That's not such a bad idea.
