When I Am Five Minutes Late Giving Our Kids Their Afternoon Snack...

Lisa went back to work on Monday after a weeklong vacation. Our normal scheduled resumed. Monday was shaky and I didn't get a lot done because of a massive windstorm that lasted for almost 24 hours. Yesterday, I busted ass to get caught up. This led to being a few minutes late giving the kids their early afternoon snack and daily multivitamin. The kids ganged up on me. They sat there. Giving me THE LOOK.

Our kid's meal and snack times during the week are scheduled. On the weekends, there is a slight adjustment, but they're still scheduled.

During the week, the kids eat breakfast between 4:30 - 4:45 a.m. Shortly after, they get a snack. At 11 a.m., they get another snack along with their daily multivitamin. At 3 p.m., I give the kids their late afternoon snack. Dinner is served between 5:30 - 6:00 p.m. Then, before bed, usually around 8 p.m., they get their evening snack.

On the weekends, same thing, but they eat breakfast a bit later.

Occasionally, like yesterday, I lose track of time.

But...

The kids let me know.

Always.

When they gather and stare at me like THIS, my first instinct is to look at the clock.

Then, I have the, "Oh, shit...." moment.

Sigh.

While I scurry around getting their snacks and multivitamins, I apologize to them.

I also explain why Mommy had a dork moment.

Total Work at Home Dog Mom life...
