The Kids Gave Us A Paws Up For Our Barkin' Blueberry Crumble Dog Treats

This is one of those weeks where my time management skills will be put to the test. Lobo's 2 Year Gotcha Day is Monday. The gift he requested is a bit complicated, but we're going to make it work. It's going to take several days from start to finish. It's going to involve a mix of repurposing, sewing, and painting. Because of the time involved in making this happen, I have to make sure most everything gets done by Thursday. Baking biscuit love. Housework. Creating a new dog treat recipe for the week.

That happened today...creating a new homemade dog treat recipe.

I am so happy about this recipe. Over the weekend, we scored a great deal on dried blueberries. That shifted my focus a bit from the original plan of using fresh fruit.

That's okay. I'm creating a new dog treat recipe every week so there's plenty of time to utilize fresh fruits and veggies.

I got the recipe just right in one try. While baking, the house smelled incredible. It was almost identical to the smell when I bake homemade blueberry muffins or cupcakes.

Shortly after the biscuits cooled, it was time for our kids to get their afternoon snack. I grabbed a couple of Bodacious Peanut Butter Dog Treats and one of the new dog treats I had just baked.

I let the kids sample the new dog treat first.

Once that was gone, I gave them each a piece of the Bodacious Peanut Butter Dog Treat.

The kids sniffed.

Then, they all sat there giving me THE LOOK.

"Mom. We want more of those treats with the blueberries."

I complied.

The kids each gave a paws up for the new dog treat recipe.

Big. Huge. Smile.

If you'd like to try it out, here is the recipe for our Barkin' Blueberry Crumble Dog Treats.

Enjoy!
