Paint, Primer, And A Plush Dog That Sings

Lisa is on staycation this week. We made the decision to make the trip to Home Depot to purchase all of the paint and supplies to finish painting the interior of our house. So far, the dining room and home office are done. We are in love with the rich, primitive, and slightly dark shades. When choosing the colors for the hallway, entryway, bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen, we kept that color theme in mind.

We had an absolute blast choosing colors today. For the most part, we had shades in mind. It was just a matter of finding the swatches and trim colors to match.

While the super cool ladies mixed our paint, we shopped around for the other supplies we needed. During our little shopping spree, we passed a display of animated plush animals. You know the kind I'm talking about. It's the singing and dancing plush displays that encourage you to "push here" or "try me."

Yes, I'm the one who pushes them all. Repeatedly. Until either Lisa drags me away or a sales associate asks me to leave.

We don't usually purchase them, but there was one that caught our attention. An animated plush dog that sings a cute little Christmas jingle.

Needless to say...

In addition to 2 gallons of Kilz, 8 gallons of paint, a quart of paint, and painting supplies, the animated Christmas dog came home with us.

Our kids were very amused and they entertained us for quite a while.

Our plans for Wednesday and Thursday is to get our bedroom done. This is going to be a huge project because, well...

This.

Yep.

Our bedroom is a vibrant shade of green and...black.

Semigloss.

We'll be spending an entire day priming and the following day painting.

We are very excited to embark on this project.

Finally!

I'll keep you posted...
