Can You Guess What I'm Doing?

From this photo, you've probably already guessed what I have been working on all day between my usual Work at Home Dog Mom stuff. Yep. Painting all of the door trims and doors in the hallway and entryway. There are quite a few. In both areas, we have a total of 6.

I obviously knew we had that many doors and door trims, but it's not until I began painting them that I said to Lisa, "Holy shit. We have a lot of doors in the hallway and entryway."

In the entryway, we have a single closet for outerwear and shoes.

In the hallway, we have doors for the Bodacious DIY Dog Mom Workshop, our bedroom, basement, linen closet, and home office.

I've had these moments quite a bit since we began painting most of the interior of our house that we bought in February.

For example, we have huge closets with bi-fold doors in the Bodacious DIY Dog Mom Workshop, our second living room, home office, and our bedroom. We love the closet space and doors.

However...

They're a pain in the ass to paint because it's a lengthy process.

Another example is corner round and ceiling molding and wall trims. They're gorgeous and we have a lot, but they are also a pain to paint. It takes a lot of time and patience.

I've had to rely on some of my DIY precision brushes to paint over the existing paint.

But.

At the end of the day, we don't let it stress us out because earlier this month, we eliminated the personal deadlines for our Big Bodacious Painting Project.

Since then, we went from it being an overwhelming task to enjoying the entire process of painting our house.

Our home.

It's actually been fun.

Yes, fun.

The latest update is we are going to take a break from painting next week. I need to catch up on some desk work and a few projects in the Bodacious DIY Dog Mom Workshop.

The following week, we're tackling the kitchen. That's going to be a huge project, but one that we are excited about. Our kitchen is currently all white and drab.

I will keep you posted as we go.
