Another Productive And Fabulous Staycation

Lisa's staycation has come to an end. We had an exceptional week. It was a mix of spending lots of time with our kids and each other, painting, relaxing, and simply just doing things at our own pace. No schedule. No appointments. Aside from our shopping spree at Home Depot, we stayed home.

The only room we finished painted was our bedroom. That was a rather large project because of the previous color. You can read about that and see the before and after photos here

After the bedroom, the only areas left for interior painting are the hallway, entryway, kitchen, and bathroom. The kitchen and bathroom will be lengthy projects. We decided the next areas that will get done are the hallway and entryway.

I was going to begin painting those areas this week, but Lisa got a burst of energy yesterday morning and wanted to begin the process. I'm going to attribute some of that motivation to the excitement over the color we chose for the wall.

We've been living with mostly white walls since February.

By this morning, most of the walls were trimmed out.

Late this morning and into the afternoon, she rolled the walls.

As with every Sunday, I was in the kitchen cooking and baking for the first half of the upcoming week. This week's cookie of choice was Snickerdoodles.

I've got my work cut out for me this week to finish the wall trim, door trims, and doors. But. I'm determined to get it done by the end of the week.

Stay tuned...
