We Will Be Celebrating And Enjoying Fall Fair Foods In Our Bodacious Kitchen Next Weekend

Due to COVID-19, all of the fairs have been canceled here in Connecticut. Even the Big E, in Massachusetts, which canceled beyond the last minute. It's the first time in decades and decades, if ever, that this has happened.

Lisa and I used to go to the Brooklyn and Woodstock Fair, but we stopped going more than a few years ago because our family got bigger. Our kids can't be left alone for more than a few hours.

But more so, the last couple of times we went, our favorite vendors were not there. The prices went up all the way around. And, the food selection shrunk.

So, we just stopped going.

This year with all of the fairs canceling, a lot of local restaurants and bakeries have posted that they're going to be offering "Fair Food" next weekend which is Labor Day Weekend.

The Big E in Massachusetts has already offered a drive through Fair Food option on the weekends.

We think that's awesome!

Those efforts have inspired me.

Next weekend is a long 3 day weekend for us.

We decided that we're going to enjoy fair food.

But.

Homemade.

At home.

In our Bodacious Kitchen.

Grilled sausage grinders with peppers and onions.

Steak and cheese bombs.

Baked hand-cut fries with fry sauce.

Homemade beer-battered onion rings.

Homemade fried dough.

My fresh made pumpkin ice cream.

Our kids will enjoy grilled chicken breasts and lean steak along with fresh seasonal fruits and vegetables.

We are looking forward to our long Labor Day Weekend.

This Summer has been brutal between COVID-19, being in a severe drought, tropical storm Isaias, etc.

And...

This Summer has been the hottest in recorded meteorological history.

We don't like to rush time or seasons, but...

We are so ready for the Fall season.

Bring. It. On.
