Rocks! Rocks! Rocks!

This time of year, Lisa is usually in her woodshop building birdhouses, garden signs, and other cool Spring projects. I'm busy in the Bodacious DIY Dog Mom Project Workshop working my magic with paint, detailing, and varnishing. However, this year, the COVID-19 pandemic has temporarily changed all of that.

Due to Lisa being an essential employee, I have remained quarantined. Lisa goes to work and home with the exception of the occasional trip to the grocery store or to run an errand. Making frequent trips to Home Depot, Lowe's, and other retailers for supplies is something we've put on hold for the time being.

Instead, we've been utilizing what we already have.

A month ago, we ripped down wall shelves in our bedroom and repurposed the wood. We made gorgeous birdhouses for our back yards.

Shortly after, I made a decorative sign for our front lawn to extend gratitude to all of the essential employees.

In the days to follow, I used my collection of buttons along with a donation of buttons and extra yarn I had to make almost 200 face mask bands for the people Lisa works with and beyond.

I also used some brand new chair cushions to make our kids an extra-large super comfy dog bed.

We have lots of extra wood and materials to make other cool stuff in the weeks ahead.

Right now, we're working on decorating our many yards.

One project I've been wanting to tackle is making large Folk Art rocks for our stairs and walkway.

Over Mother's Day weekend, Lisa dug up some large rocks.

Perfect.

For upcoming projects.

Stay tuned.
