We Are Still Tackling Our Big Bodacious Painting Project

I didn't get a chance to update y'all on Our Big Bodacious Painting Project yesterday. We were up at 6 in the morning and worked until about 8 p.m. Not even 2 hours after eating takeout for dinner (the photo should explain why), we both crashed. I fell asleep before Lisa finished up with our evening routine. On the sofa. She covered me up and went to bed with Coco, Sophie, and Lobo. Willa was curled up beside of me.

Over the past couple of days, a few people have made comments and asked questions about Our Big Bodacious Painting Project.

Why is it taking so long?

How many rooms do you have?

My husband and I got our home painted during a 3 day weekend and our home is HUGE.

You must be taking a lot of breaks because for the hours you've invested, you could have painted a few homes.

To answer those questions and reply to the comments...

There are 6 rooms.

All of our rooms are filled with furniture and wall decor.

We have 4 kids; all of which do not respond well to change or our home when a room or 2 is in chaos. This is why we stopped hosting our Bodacious Yard & Bake Sales. Back then, having the biscuit room and home office congested with boxes of yard sale items was enough to elevate their stress levels.

Due to their stress levels, we have taken a lot of timeouts to have extra play time and snuggle time.

In addition, this is still a partial work week for me.

I'll be going into more detail about all of this in the next day or so.

For now, it's almost midnight. I'm exhausted. My muscles are screaming.

It's time to get some shuteye.

We've got a full day of work ahead of us tomorrow.
