Kitchen. Home Office. Exhale. I've Got This.

It hit me like a wrecking ball yesterday. It's the middle of October. The next couple of months are going to be extremely busy. In addition to completing orders for our Bodacious Country Crackle Holiday Ornaments, holiday biscuit love, assisting pet parents in need with our Bodacious Biscuit Love Bin, Holiday Pet Baskets, there's other stuff on my list o' stuff to do. That would include creating more homemade dog biscuit recipes, sewing a few Bodacious Patchwork Quilts, and making some DIY Dog Mom Projects to sell.

'Tis the season.

There are not enough hours in the day. The wrecking ball came in the form of realizing I need to alter my schedule a bit.

A typical day for me includes going to bed at 5 a.m. I set my alarm for 10 a.m. I never sleep until my alarm goes off. I'm up at least an hour earlier.

Once up, I have my coffee, check online stuff, and try to complete a blog post while it's quiet. More often than not, that doesn't happen. I start one and end up completing and publishing late at night.

Then...

I take care of our fur-nephew.

For the next couple of weeks, I'm also taking care of our 2 fur-nieces and fur-nephew.

Add housework, meal prep, making ornaments, painting ornaments, baking biscuits, etc.

Long story short, I find most of the stuff I work on during the day is in the kitchen.

I use the word "stuff" a lot. It tends to cover a wide range of...well, stuff.

The time spent in the kitchen is going to increase in the coming weeks.

I need to alleviate the stress of getting desk work stuff during the morning and afternoon hours. That includes blog stuff, work stuff, social, etc.

In order to alleviate that stress, I have to shuffle my schedule around a bit.

That includes saving home office stuff for the overnight hours.

My efforts to combine home office stuff and kitchen stuff during the day and overnight hours isn't working.

I need to completely separate the two at this point.

Kitchen.

Home office.

Exhale.

I've got this.
