My Pumpkin Bread Recipe Is Both Human And Pup Friendly

After many, many years, I've broken my golden rule of not making anything pumpkin or indulging in anything pumpkin spiced until the first official day of fall. I've already sipped pumpkin spiced iced coffee and yesterday, I made several loaves of pumpkin bread. And, when shopping for supplies to make DIY doggy Christmas ornaments, I bought pumpkin spiced and apple cinnamon wax tarts.

Pumpkin bread, apple cinnamon bread, and cranberry bread are staples in this house during the fall and winter months. I have altered the recipes I've used for years so they're both human and pup friendly.

So far, I've only made pumpkin bread, but in the weeks to follow, I'll be making apple cinnamon and cranberry and sharing the recipes.

For now, here's the recipe for my homemade human and pup friendly pumpkin bread.

In a bowl or mixer, combine 3 eggs, 1 3/4 cup plain mashed pumpkin, 1 cup sugar, 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1/2 cup vegetable oil, and 1/3 cup milk. Mix well.

To that, mix in 2 1/2 cups flour, 1 teaspoon baking powder, 1 teaspoon baking soda, 1 teaspoon salt and 2 tablespoons cinnamon.

Do not use pumpkin spice or nutmeg. Cinnamon. Only.

Grease 2 loaf pans. Divide batter into both loaf pans.

Bake at 350 for about 45-50 minutes.

Bake times may vary due to ovens.

Allow to cool before removing from loaf pans.

Enjoy!
