This coming week I'm going to dust off my creative salt dough ornament cap and whip up some Christmas ornaments. In order to do that, I needed to purchase a few supplies. My go-to place for craft stuff is Michael's, but I only shop at this location when there's a sale or coupons. Today, there was both. I picked up a great set of paintbrushes, a big bottle of triple thick glaze, and 6 bottles of paint. Between lowest-prices-of-the-season sale items and using a 50% off 1 regular priced item coupon, we paid $11 and some change for everything. I was a happy girl.
On Monday or Tuesday I'll be making a batch of salt dough and, by the end of the week, I'll have some ornaments made to photograph.
I'm super excited.
We're going to make Christmas ornaments for our kids instead of buying them this year.
We'll also be giving them as gifts, along with our homemade dog treats, for the holiday season.
And, we'll be offering personalized doggy bone ornaments at Whiskers in Wonderland in December. It'll be our 3rd year participating in this event and we're thrilled.
I've also got a few more DIY Dog Mom Projects under my sleeve and a few new homemade dog treat recipes.
