Sweet Crunchy Love Hearts Dog Treats

These biscuits have always been my favorite. Heart shaped biscuits with a swizzle of drizzle and festive sprinkles. They're perfect for Valentine's Day, but we make them all year for special occasions or when the kids want to spread a lil' crunchy love to our close friends who are also pet parents. There's just something about them.

I have 2 flavors shown here. The hearts on the left are our Coco's Cranberry Crunch biscuit recipe. The heart biscuits on the right...our Peanut Butter Oat biscuits.

To make those...

In a mixer or bowl, combine 1 cup Skippy Natural Peanut Butter, 2 cups flour, 1/2 cup plain oats, 3 teaspoons baking powder and 1 - 1 1/4 cup hot water. Mix well.

Roll to the thickness of pie crust or a hair thicker. Use a heart shaped cookie cutter. Bake at 350 for 22 minutes. This is the perfect baking time for us, but that may vary depending on your oven.

Let the biscuits cool and sit for 24-48 hours to get a crunchy texture. Or, you can cool and use immediately if you'd prefer a softer biscuit.

Whatever flavor you decided to go with, at this point, you're all set to swizzle some drizzle.

Line kitchen counter with waxed paper and place the biscuits side by side.

In a small bowl, combine 1 cup of white chips and 1 tablespoon of peanut butter. Microwave in 20 second intervals, while mixing each time, until smooth.

Place mixture in a quart sized zip lock plastic bag. With a pair of scissors, snip the tiniest bit of corner.

Squeeze gently over biscuits and create whatever design you'd like.

Add festive sprinkles of choice.

Allow drizzle to cool.

Enjoy!
