It Was A Pretty Great Easter

The kids woke up to Easter baskets this morning. Earlier in the week we filled them with a new throw blanket to add to their already extensive collection, our homemade decorated Easter treats and their favorite chew bones.

I put their Easter baskets in the living room, sat on the floor and, a few seconds later, Lisa opened the gate to the living room. Total. Cuteness. Overload. Check out the video. Wiggly bums!

For dinner, Lisa fired up the grill for the first time this year. The kids enjoyed grilled chicken, shrimp, baked potato, grilled asparagus and homemade "pup and human friendly" blueberry bread. All of the kids licked their bowls clean. Not a stitch of food was left.

After dinner, we curled up on our sofa and watched a couple of movies. The kids fell asleep snuggled against us. I must admit, with not having that useless center cushion on the sofa, it made a huge difference. More room for the kids and our legs. I was definitely feeling New Sofa Love.

We enjoyed our day. The kids loved having both of their Moms home all day and evening. It was a pretty great Easter.
