We Do Not Need A Vacation From Our LIfe

I spent most of my evening last night making 200 of my homemade double-chip marble cookies. Make. Bake. Cool. Package in adorable cookie bags. A lil' sweet love. For some hard workers.

I made these for Lisa's team members. She will be bringing them to work today. I do this before she takes a week-long staycation or on special holidays.

This time around...

When Lisa gets out of work tonight, she will officially be on staycation.

For a week.

The kids and I couldn't be more excited.

Over the past couple of weeks, we made some tentative plans.

When I say "plans," I'm referring to Lisa and I going away for a few hours.

Once or twice.

This time around, we had planned on walking our favorite beach to search for treasures, but it appears we'll be having a miserable heatwave.

Miserable translates to the heat index being over 100.

Hazy.

Hot.

Humid.

That will probably fall into the category of "not happening..."

That's okay.

We do have plans for the 14th.

Mom and Dad V. are coming down.

It's been a long time.

We are looking forward to their visit and spoiling them with yummy food and such.

The best part of it all...

We can do things at our own pace.

Lisa will be home with us for 9 whole days.

We take things day by day.

Embrace our blessings.

One of which includes not needing a vacation from our life.
