I was expecting an Amazon delivery today. A single box. When I got the notification that our items were delivered, Lisa went outside to check the mail and grab the box. I was in our home office. On the way to the kitchen, Lisa asked, "Did you order other stuff from Amazon?"
Ah. No.
I got up and followed her to the kitchen.
There was our box from Amazon and a shipping envelope from Amazon.
The box contained all of the items we were expecting.
The shipping envelope contained a gift bag with a note.
I was baffled.
Inside the gift bag was a beautiful box that contained 2 sets of chopsticks and chopstick resting pieces.
They were a gift from a beautiful lady.
I have known her since high school.
She was a couple of years ahead of me.
She was also the recipient of one of the Holiday ornaments we made this year to spread Holiday Love and Cheer.
I was speechless.
And, that doesn't happen often.
I posted this photo on my personal Facebook page to extend my gratitude.
Her response...
"You are very welcome. You are always doing so much for others. I wanted to do something for you for a change, and the chopstick challenge intrigued me! lol
When I saw them I immediately knew they were you. The Phoenix especially.
Enjoy."
I got a bit teary-eyed.
These chopsticks are absolutely perfect.
The box that the chopsticks came in is displayed on the shelf in our home office.
I will be using these chopsticks frequently.
And embracing the sentiment behind them.
