One Day At A Time

During the early morning hours yesterday, I had a little meltdown. After snuggling and napping with the kids, taking an hour or so to reflect, making a list, and having an incredible conversation with Lisa over dinner, I feel refreshed. I woke up with a positive attitude this morning. Rejuvenated. Motivated. Determined.

Today ended up being kind of awesome day. Very productive. Lisa got home a little late. I enjoyed a couple of cocktails before she got home. Made a great dinner. After Lisa spent time with the kids, took them out, and fed them dinner, we ate our dinner at the table and talked.

In addition...

Lisa and I are almost fully recovered from the nasty Summer plague that invaded our home almost 2 weeks ago. We still have that annoying cough that lingers, but that's it.

The bout of heat and heavy humidity has passed. Temperatures will dip down into the 50's tonight. I'll be opening the windows tomorrow to air out the germs and get rid of the stagnant A/C air.

I have lots of work to catch up on both at my desk and in the workshop. I also need to finish Fall cleaning and bringing the home office back to life.

Lisa has been working long hours and has to work tomorrow. Our plans to purchase supplies and stock up on paint in the early morning hours tomorrow are now postponed until later in the day. However, due to the number of chores we have over the weekend, I'm fairly certain we'll be running those errands on Thursday.

Lisa took a couple of vacation days this coming week.

I'm sort of sectioning off the next 5 days. I'm not going to worry about the work that needs to be done in the Bodacious DIY Dog Mom Project Workshop.

My goal, on top of everything else in my Work at Home Dog Mom Life,  is to finish the Fall cleaning. Bring the home office back to life. Plan and make a list of the amount of wood, paint, and other supplies we will need for Fall and Holiday items. Make sure every stitch of housework is done. Plan meals for the next week and a grocery list.

I've got this.

One day at a time.
