Today Was A Big Deal. No More Color. Ever.

I did a thing today. I had 6 inches cut off. Hair. The last of the color. I also had some fringe razored to cover my forehead. This was a big deal because...

For well over 20 years, I've colored my hair. Full head. Foils. Vibrant colors. My hair has been every color from magenta to deep violet.

I'm going to be 46 this year.

I have a few strands of gray.

Wisdom highlights.

The last time I colored my hair was 3 years ago. I had a bright hue of pink foiled in.

That was it.

I made a promise to myself that I was no longer going to color my hair whether it was full head or foils.

Why?

Because of the maintenance.

Once the gray hairs start radiating, the maintenance becomes more frequent and more expensive.

I'm not a high maintenance Work at Home Dog Mom.

Over the years, I've known quite a few women both older and younger than myself who are over 50% gray who color their hair.

A couple of those women are 100% gray.

Every 4-6 weeks, they visit the salon to have their roots colored.

I don't want to do that.

Not only is it a hassle, but it's also very expensive.

So, over the past few years, I've had my hair trimmed a couple of times a year. With each cut, that was less and less color that was in my hair.

Finally...

Today.

That ended.

I no longer have any artificial color in my hair. What you see is all virgin hair and my gray strands shining through.

Big moment for me.

A big deal.

Total Work at Home Dog Mom empowerment.

I am committed to growing gray gracefully.

No more color.

It. Feels. Good.
