New Day. New Week. New Month. All Rolled Into One.

It's a new day. New week. New month. I love it when the first of the month falls on a Monday. It gives me a false sense of hope that I actually have my shit together. Which I kind of do. But, as a Work at Home Dog Mom, nothing ever goes as planned. I've learned that. I'm used to it. In fact, if anything went as planned, you'd have to wave smelling salt in front of my nose to wake me from a dramatic fainting spell.

This is the current state of the Bodacious DIY Dog Mom Workshop. I've got 2 wooden pieces and 2 antique saws that need makeovers.

I'm sporting my best prime and paint-stained apparel.

My hair is in a sloppy bun.

The can of Kilz Primer is opened.

All of the pieces are cleaned.

They all need a generous coat of primer.

In other news...

The backyard party for Lisa's work peeps went exceptionally well.

I wore the skirt that fit because I didn't have time to alter the other.

It was wonderful to see the few faces I knew and to meet the rest. To put names with faces.

The entire day and evening were spectacular for so many reasons.

Lisa's boss presented me with a bottle of my favorite local wine.

Taylor Brooke Summer Peach...just in case you're wondering.

I played Cornhole for the first time in my life and I really, really liked it.

I've already begged Lisa several times to build it.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed it happens this year, but if it doesn't, I totally understand.

On that note...

I need to head into the Bodacious DIY Dog Mom Project Workshop.

I have a lot of pieces to finish.

Lisa is determined to create more pieces this coming weekend for me to work my magic on next week. I need to be prepared for that.

Stay tuned...
