The Bodacious DIY Dog Mom Project Workshop Is In Full Swing!

This is the wooden plant stand that I referred to in a blog column I published a couple of days ago. We purchased it at a flea market many years ago. Since then, it was in the corner of our living room, on the far side of our sofa, with a plant on top. A couple of months ago, we relocated the plant. The wooden plant holder has been sitting in the Bodacious DIY Dog Mom Workshop. Collecting dust. So, I decided to give it a makeover and offer it as an Up For Grabs item.

As I've mentioned before, selling items that we don't offer shipping on are difficult to sell. For these items, I always make sure that they'll find a little nook within our home to add more unique charm. That's the reason why I painted this plant stand in a gorgeous shade of Laguna.

I gave the wooden plant stand a good cleaning and several coats of Kilz Primer. Then 2 coats of paint. I stenciled on a simple daisy print and finished it with 2 coats of protective varnish.

Earlier today, I posted and offered it as an Up For Grabs Item.

If it doesn't sell, we've got the perfect spot in the kitchen for it.

After today, I am out of pieces to repurpose and give makeovers to. Lisa and I need to seriously get out there and scope out our favorite flea markets. And, with it being April 1st, it won't be long until yard sales start popping up in our area.

This coming week, I've got my work cut out for me. Lisa cut and sanded 21 pieces of wood that I'll be making into custom signs. I'm very excited about this project.

In addition, Lisa is making more Bodacious DIY Birdhouses, slat style signs, Bodacious DIY Garden Signs, and I'll be making Dog Mom pieces to celebrate Mother's Day on May 12th.

Lots of work, but...

We're not complaining.
