I Am Exhausted. But. I'm Feeling Exceptionally Thankful And Blessed.

It was an exceptionally busy day. I'm struggling to keep my eyes opened as I type this. Between work stuff, working my magic in the Bodacious DIY Dog Mom Project Workshop, housework, multiple trips to the basement to do laundry, and spending a copious amount of time in the kitchen, I'm wiped.

I love days like today.

As a Work at Home Dog Mom, I take pride in the days when Lisa arrives home from work and there is absolutely nothing for her to do. And, the house smells incredible from dinner, baked goods, and homemade dog treats.

Today, I made a gorgeous barbecue pulled pork in the crockpot. Throughout the day, I baked peanut butter cupcakes for Willa's 2 Year Gotcha Day tomorrow. I used the last of our shredded zucchini in the freezer to make a loaf of zucchini bread. I also made a jar of homemade raspberry jam.

When Lisa arrived home from work, she took our kids out for their afternoon playtime. Then, she was able to sit and relax. Exhale.

I served the pulled pork on fresh grilled buttered rolls. I whipped up a batch of my slaw. We shared our dinner with a couple of our favorite humans.

Despite the exhaustion, I feel accomplished. Thankful. Blessed.

It's the little things in life.

We embrace that.
