Finally! Our Bodacious DIY Birdhouses Are Coming To Life...

Lisa has been on vacation this week. We are loving our combination Staycation Workcation. Lisa has spent a lot of time in her Bodacious Woodshop building awesome creations. I've been a happy Dog Mom in my Bodacious DIY Dog Mom Project Workshop. After almost a year, Lisa finally started on a project she's been wanting to do for quite some time.

Birdhouses.

A few years ago, Lisa and I purchased a gorgeous birdhouse at one of our favorite flea markets. It was made by an elderly gentleman. He had a lot of birdhouses to choose from. We adored the rustic charm of his birdhouses. We purchased one for us and asked if he had plans to continue making and selling his birdhouses. His answer was yes.

We decided to keep his birdhouse as a decorative piece. Indoors. We found the perfect spot.

That October, we went back. We wanted another birdhouse to put outdoors and to purchase a couple more for gifts. The elderly gentleman and his birdhouses were not there. Lisa and I were both a little heartbroken.

The following Spring, we decided to hang the original birdhouse outdoors on our front porch. It didn't take long for the birdhouse to be occupied.

You can read all about our birdhouse adventures here.

Last June, we talked about making DIY Birdhouses, but things got super busy with renovations, work stuff, and custom orders.

Prior to Lisa being on vacation this week, we talked about making DIY Birdhouses and DIY Dog Toyboxes.

Earlier this week, Lisa made a trip to Home Depot to pick up supplies.

The birdhouses she has built are gorgeous.

Now, it's time to work my magic in the Bodacious DIY Dog Mom Project Workshop.

I've got my work cut out for me this week and next...

I'll keep you posted.
