We Had A Really Great Christmas

It's the day after Christmas. After having 4 days off, Lisa went back to work. I sat at the table drinking coffee. With our kids. Well, they weren't exactly sitting at the table with me. Coco was on the sofa. Sophie was on our bed curled up in her favorite Sherpa blanket. Lobo was on the kitchen doggy bed. Willa was on the reclining chair in the living room with one of the new Christmas blankets.

The day after Christmas is always weird, but this year, it was a different kind of weird.

In previous years, when we provided Holiday Bodacious Biscuit Love, I would be completely exhausted in the day or 2 before Christmas. The day after Christmas, I would crash. It would take me a few days to recover.

This year, being the first year we haven't provided Holiday Bodacious Biscuit Love in 4 years, I just sat at the table. Energized. Motivated. Determined.

But, feeling that weirdness.

As in...

December went by much too quick.

Is it really the day after Christmas?

We spread so much Bodacious Holiday Love and Cheer this month.

A week from today, we'll already be into the second day of 2019.

I have so much to do between now and then.

On Friday, when I do my big housecleaning, that will include taking down our tree and Christmas decorations.

I have already unpacked the gifts, put them in their rightful spots, and cleaned and organized the Bodacious DIY Dog Mom Workshop.

Exhale.

Yeah. It's that time.

Christmas is done and over with.

But, before I give things a wrap, I want to let everyone know that we had an absolutely fabulous Christmas. We've already decided it's been one of our best Christmases.

We spent time with all of our neighbor friends who have become family.

They all loved their Christmas Baskets and Christmas Bags.

We were blessed with such thoughtful gifts that meant the world to us.

We had a lot of time to spend with those who are closest to us.

It's the conversations that took place. Sharing food and drinks. The laughs. The time spent away from work and technology and chores. The lots of extra time we had as a family.

This year, we made lots of memories.

Next year, we plan on doing the same.
