We Will Be At The Ledyard Animal Control Appreciation Day!

In January, I was adamant that we wouldn't be participating in any events this year. It's a lot of work to prepare for one and it takes up an entire weekend day. However, on occasion, I make exceptions. This is one of them. The Ledyard Animal Control Appreciation Day. We participated in this event a few years ago and we had a blast! So, we're doing it again!

This will be the first year that we won't be offering our homemade peanut butter dog treats at an event. Instead, we'll have a full table of DIY Dog Mom Projects including doggy toy boxes, dog-themed decor, patchwork dog quilts, leash holders, and more!

We. Are. Very. Exited.

The Ledyard Pound has a special place in our hearts. Our Lobo is from the Ledyard Pound. And, our neighbor friend who lives upstairs adopted all 3 of her furry kids from there as well.

When we launched Bodacious Biscuit Love in 2013, the Ledyard Pound was the first shelter we visited to spread the biscuit love. Over the years, we spent a considerable amount of time there. In addition to spreading Biscuit Love, we helped raise a litter of puppies, fostered several litters of kittens, spent time visiting the animals in the shelter, and participated in quite a few of their fundraising events.

This time around, the Ledyard Pound needs a new roof. From now until September, there are several fundraising events to support the Raise The Roof campaign. Their goal is to raise $10,000 for this project.

The money raised during the Ledyard Animal Control Appreciation Day will go to the 'Raise The Roof' fund. It's going to be a fun day! There will raffle baskets and prizes, games, food, vendors, tag sale items, and more!

If you're from our neck of the woods, mark your calendar. The Ledyard Animal Control Appreciation Event will be on April 14th from 11a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Ledyard Fairgrounds.

We hope to see you there!
