The New Our Bodacious Dog Mom Life Facebook Cover

Towards the end of December, I published a blog column titled 'The Photos I Take Of The Kids Represents Our Bodacious Dog Mom Life.' In short, I described how for the longest time I had been trying to get "that perfect" photo of our kids. My social media streams are often plastered with picturesque furry kid photos. Why couldn't I do that? Then, I got real. Our Bodacious Dog Mom Life isn't perfect or picturesque.

When redesigning the cover photo for the Our Bodacious Dog Mom Life Facebook page, I was tempted to make a collage including photos of all our kids. I usually get decent photos of the kids individually. However, that's what had been up there for over a year. I wanted a single photo. All of our kids. Together.

I chose the one I used in the blog post I mentioned in the first paragraph. It truly represents our life. The day I took the photo, all of our kids were on the sofa. I was in the home office. I had to tiptoe to the doorway with my camera. Coco looked away. Sophie was in the process of giving me THE LOOK. Lobo and Willa, who don't mind the camera, looked at me. And, of course, this moment happened before I had a chance to fix our sofa cover.

This was the best photo out of only a few before Coco jumped down and Willa followed him.

I adore this photo for so many reasons. No, it's not perfect. No, it's not picturesque. No, it won't win a photo award or honorable mention. But, that's okay. This photo is a representation of our life. I love it just the way it is.
