Our DIY Indoor Dog House Is Built! Now, It's Time To Work My Magic...

Lobo's gift request for his 3 Year Gotcha Day, our vision, and the sketches drawn finally came to life late this afternoon. The DIY Indoor Dog House is built! Lisa worked in her shop for a couple of hours yesterday and most of the afternoon today. She used a combination of scrap wood and wood that she purchased at Lowe's yesterday. It came out incredible!

Mind you, I wasn't allowed to see the dog house until it was finished. I was bursting at the seams with anticipation.

Originally, we had talked about a narrower opening in the front. However, our DIY Indoor Dog House is for all of the kids. Coco is our biggest kid weighing in at 38 pounds. He doesn't much care for narrow openings. With this in mind, Lisa kept the front wide opened without making it into a fully opened front. Plus, I wanted one of the front sides to be a little wider so I could make a piece of decor to hang.

She did it!

Our DIY Indoor Dog House is sitting on the kitchen table. I'll spend most of this week painting the dog house and making some DIY Dog Mom project wooden decor. I'll also be sewing a dog bed cushion, patchwork quilt and some pillows for the inside.

I've got quite a few work deadlines this week so I won't be able to get it done all at once. Tuesday and Wednesday are desk days for me. My goal is to have it completely finished by the end of the day on Thursday.

I'll keep you posted!
