'Tis The Season For Handcrafted Ornaments And Chaos...

The Bodacious Holiday Ornaments are finally coming to life! The snowmen are painted on the 30 ornaments that people ordered. I just need to paint the paw print on the snowman hat, personalize, coat with the satin varnish, screw in the eye hook, and finish off with a twine loop to hang. The next batch of ornaments will be for the Whiskers in Wonderland event. I'll be hand painting paw prints on those and writing "Happy Paw-lidays" on each one. I still haven't decided what I'll be painting on the ornaments that we'll be handing out as gifts on December 9th. What I do know is they'll have "Live. Laugh. Love." written on them. There's a reason for that.

This year, I'm dedicating my birthday to spreading some holiday love and cheer. Throughout the past year, a lot of people have shared stories with me. It's been a crap year for a lot of people for one reason or another. We know these people personally. They trusted us enough to share their stories.

On December 9th we'll be hosting a holiday party to spread some love and cheer. We invited all of these wonderful people to stop by. There will be lots of love, unity, great conversations, many laughs, scrumptious food, and gifts for all. The guests we've invited are all looking forward to this party. So are we.

I'd like to have one of our tiny Christmas trees set up on the table with the handmade ornaments so people can pick out the one they want. Or, I may just make party bags. I haven't decided yet.

Anyway...

I have a very short time frame to get all of these ornaments finished. It has taken 2 days to paint all 72 ornaments with 2 coats of paint, front and back, and distress.

At 5:30 p.m. today, we cleared the table and put everything into the biscuit/craft room. That's where they'll reside for the next 2 days. I will be spending the entire day tomorrow making the food for Thanksgiving. On Thanksgiving, we're having a couple of dear friends over.

On Friday, our kitchen table will once again be the DIY Dog Mom Project zone. I need to get all of these ornaments done by the end of the weekend because next week will be spent prepping for the Whiskers in Wonderland event.

Next week will be beyond crazy, busy, chaotic...

'Tis the season...
