A Tote Of Wood, Paint, And My Jar O' Brushes Gets Me Excited

A little over a month ago, we participated in the annual Spring Festival and Craft Fair right here in our neck of the woods. It was our first ever non-pet event and it was also the first time we signed up for an event in the town we live in. I spent the entire month prior making DIY dog themed projects. When all was said and done, we had an assortment of handcrafted wooden wall decor, leash/pup apparel holders, doggy toy boxes, bone shaped pillows, Bodacious patchwork doggy quilts and bandannas. We also had lots of fresh, homemade biscuit love.

We didn't do well at the craft fair. We sold a few bone shaped pillows, 1 wall piece, and about 10 bags of biscuits. Needless to say, we were left with a lot of DIY items.

Our biscuit/craft room is a nice size, but it's not nearly big enough to store large quantities of DIY projects. This is why I only work on a few pieces at a time.

We have plans on making more DIY projects, however, in order to do this, I needed to sell what we had made the last month.

That's what we've been doing. And, for the most part, it's been successful. In addition to selling individual items, I put together a few bundles. Today I posted the biggest bundle of them all. It included a doggy toy box, Bodacious patchwork doggy quilt, a bag of our biscuits, and a bone shaped pillow.

It sold within a half hour.

I'm finally at the point where I can make new DIY Dog Mom Projects. I'm looking forward to this. We have several totes of wood in the biscuit/craft room just waiting to be used for creative stuff.

Some women love and get excited over designer purses, shoes, and shopping sprees. Me? Nope. Give me a pile of wood, some good paint, my jar o' brushes and I'm content, happy, and bursting at the seams to create something.

That's just the kind of girl that I am...
