I'm Still Going Strong. Big Girl Panties On. Muscles Flexed.
Last Sunday, I had this week entirely planned out. It was important that I stayed on track and stuck to my schedule as much as possible. The month of April, with the exception of the first week, is going to be extraordinarily busy. We're pup and house sitting for some of our neighbor friends, 2 separate households, for the remainder of April and possibly into the first few days of May. Easter Sunday will be the only break we have between the 2 pup and house sitting jobs.
I was almost confident this week would be somewhat smooth sailing, but that didn't exactly happen. Not even close. This week has been nothing short of challenging, but as of this afternoon, I'm still going strong. Big girl panties on. Flexing my muscles. Determination.
We've been dealing with Willa's intestinal issue which, as of now, has drastically improved. The Metronidazole worked almost immediately. No more diarrhea. Her stools have been taking shape and hardening. She had a completely solid bowel movement this morning.
Yes, I was the crazy Dog Mom doing the happy solid-poop dance in the backyard early this morning.
On top of that, Lisa got sick. Remember that horrible nasty cold-infection-virus-depths-of-hell-sickness we were both hit with in January? Lisa has it again.
She woke up last weekend with a sore throat and a little chest congestion. Due to the crazy weather we've been having, and the spring allergies already setting in, we thought it was seasonal allergies.
Nope.
It got worse. Lisa was feeling horribly sick. Yesterday morning, before she left for work, I put my foot down and told her to make an appointment with her doctor. She did and was able to get in shortly after her lunch break.
The doctor put her on antibiotics, Prednisone, and a prescription cough medicine.
While waiting for her prescriptions to be filled, the pharmacist told Lisa that everyone is being hit with it again. And, like in December and January, it's highly contagious and spreading like wildfire.
I'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed that I don't get it again. In January, I got it about a week after Lisa did.
It's been one of those weeks.
However, like with everything else, we'll get through it.
I've fallen behind on a lot of work stuff and biscuit love stuff and DIY Dog Mom Project stuff and new dog treat recipe stuff and Bodacious Patchwork Doggy Quilt stuff.
My to-do lists are out of control at this point.
This weekend, we have no plans. It's going to be another Catch Up Weekend for me and a rest-on-the-sofa weekend for Lisa.
Next week, my plan is to bust ass. Finish getting caught up. Get a little ahead.
One day at a time.
