The Road To Success Is Always Under Construction

The first month of the new year is 'bout near over. I always refer to January as the test run. It's the month to adhere to any changes, test the boundaries of your willpower, and focus on the areas that could use some improvement. For me, it's been a productive month. I've made a few changes. Focused more. Dedicated certain days for baking, DIY projects, sewing, meal prep, etc. And, throughout all of this, managed to allow wiggle room because, let's face it, life happens.

Yes, that "life happens" applies to Lisa and I both getting sick at the same time the first week into January.

All in all, I feel as if I have a fairly decent grip on stuff. I feel accomplished. More organized. Determined. Motivated. I feel as if I got more done in January than I did in any consecutive 3 month period in 2016.

I'm not exactly where I want to be right now in terms of getting a better grip on my schedule and expanding both of my blog sites and a few dozen other things between that.

However, I'm well on my way.

If I can at least keep up with the pace I maintained throughout this month, I'll be doing okay.

If I can exceed that, and leave January's pace in the dust, I can't even begin to imagine all that could be accomplished.

My goal is leave the test run month in the dust.

Because I don't want to be doing just okay.

I want to be doing the best I can.

To challenge myself.

To do more.

Make more.

Learn more.

Educate more.

Somewhere, between all of this, I have a book to work on, finish, and eventually publish.

Face forward. Onward march.
