Wine, Cheese, And Cards Against Humanity

On Thursday, I turned 43. Lisa took a couple of vacation days. It was total birthday bliss to be home with Lisa and the kids and have no plans or schedule. All of the kids got a good grooming, a bubble bath, and nail trims. Lisa made me an incredible Italian dinner and a small cake. We finished the evening off with some family snuggle time with the kids and Netflix.

Yesterday, the celebration continued. We had a few friends over for an evening of appetizers, wine, and Cards Against Humanity. There was no shortage of laughs and that-was-so-wrong-on-so-many-levels moments.

If you've ever played Cards Against Humanity, you'll know exactly what I'm talking about.

In addition to having an incredibly fun evening, I was surprised with some sweet gifts including The Pioneer Woman Charlie Treat Jar. Total. Cuteness. Overload. It was love at first sight. This cutie will be staying on the table as our centerpiece once Christmas is done and over with.

This necklace warmed my heart. I very seldom wear necklaces because they get snagged when I pick up the kids. It's a safety thing for me. However, there's a shelf by my desk in the home office where I have a bouquet of pussy willows. I'll hang the necklace from one of the branches.

I'm so grateful to have such incredible friends who get me. They adore our kids and understand the life of a Dog Mom. And, they know how much I love doggy stuff and...wine.

It was a fantastic evening.

Life. Is. Good.
