Conquer All Of The December Stuff. The Rest Can Wait Until 2017.

It's December 1st. It's December 1st. It's December 1st. If I had a dime for every time I spoke that phrase today, we'd be financially set for the rest of our lives. It's December 1st. We're participating in an event on Sunday with TWO tables instead of one. We just launched a fundraiser for a sweet family who has fallen on hard times. We're putting together items for a man and his pup for the winter. The list goes on. It's December 1st.

There are dozens of Post-It Notes scattered on my desk, the kitchen table, and the kitchen cupboards. I've scribbled reminders on the big dry erase board by the back door in the kitchen. There is no escape. It's December 1st.

The next few weeks are going to be crazy. Busy. Hectic. Overwhelming. I'll encounter many moments when I want to volunteer to do more, but I know we can't. Time won't permit. We're just about maxed out in terms of donations, holiday pet baskets, spreading biscuit love, deliveries, pick up dates, and bake times.

And, just when I want to throw myself down on the floor, criticize my entire being for not posting a new homemade dog biscuit recipe or DIY Dog Mom Project, or making updates on both of the blog sites, Lisa appears.

"Conquer all of the December stuff. The rest can wait. Don't tackle the 2017 stuff until 2017. Try not to think about it. We're still in 2016."

She's my voice of reason.
