I have begun this blog column over and over and over again. Because. I don't know where to start. So. I decided to post a photo of the here and now. This is what the window in our dining room looks like. It has a great 10,000 BTU air conditioner that we purchased on June 29th of this year. We purchased 2 of these. One for the dining room. One for the living room. Why?
This was the scene last night. A glass of wine. Maybe several. After Lisa and I spent the entire day prepping for Hurricane Henri. Yes. You read that correctly. Hurricane Henri. At the time, Hurricane Henri was expected to make landfall very close to our area as a category 2 hurricane. We were advised to plan for a category 1 hurricane.
On July 28th, Lisa and celebrated our 9 year wedding anniversary. About a week prior to our anniversary, a young lady reached out to me. We've been Facebook friends for years and years. She is planning her wedding. Small. Nothing fancy.
Aside from the homemade meals and homemade dog treats that we feed our kids every single day, they munch on fresh produce throughout the day. Yes. This is the scene when they hear us chopping carrots, watermelon, canteloupe, strawberries, and other fresh produce in our kitchen.
Yeah. I'm that woman. Who dances and sings in the kitchen and beyond. Who embraces my Work At Home Dog Mom Life. Taking care of my wife and kids. Desk. Kitchen. Housework. Workshop.
It's Lisa's birthday today. Over the weekend, the kids and I sat down at my laptop to shop for a birthday gift from them. This is what they chose.
