We Are Still Here...

It's almost the last day of February. I haven't published a blog column since the middle of October. Most of you probably thought I hung up my apron and bid farewell. Nope. Not even close. You can't get rid of me that quick.

So, what happened?

Lots of stuff.

Before the wheels start spinning with a myriad of questions, I'll ease your mind by saying that nothing bad happened. We're doing wonderful. Our kids are healthy and happy. We're finishing a lot of projects around the house that we've been wanting to tackle.

In a nutshell, it was a mix of needing a break. Getting super busy with holiday stuff. Focusing on projects for our house. Trying to make sense of having people in my/our life that hadn't been in it for a very, very, very long time. Etc.

As most of you know, we bought a house in February of 2020. The following month, the COVID-19 Pandemic blew up. Our state pretty much shut down little by little.

Instead of making DIY seasonal items to offer up for grabs, we were contending with a lot of changes due to COVID-19.

Lisa was working a ton of hours at work as an essential employee. We were not able to gather supplies to make our usual seasonal items. Instead, I was at home making face mask bands.  And, we were struggling to purchase much-needed items like flour, yeast, eggs, etc. in our home. Thankfully, we had some humans who provided us with these essentials throughout the duration.

During the holiday season of that year, instead of selling our seasonal items, we gifted them. To spread lots of holiday love and cheer. Because. It was much needed.

Last year, due to the obnoxious price of supplies, we continued with the trend of not making Spring and Summer items to offer up for grabs. Instead, we restored a lot of pieces that had been gifted to us. For our home. Inside and out.

In October, we made some of our DIY Bodacious Pumpkins. They sold out within a matter of less than an hour.

We contemplated making our Bodacious DIY Christmas items to sell, but...

We knew COVID-19 would be surging from November until January because of holiday gatherings and parties and whatever else. We opted not to make anything to sell.

Instead, we focused on, once again, spreading a lot of Christmas Love and Cheer...

With all of that being said, I will fill you in.

On that stuff and more.

With recaps of the months that I did not publish blog columns.

Stay tuned...
