Our Bodacious Holiday Personalized Wood Slice Ornaments Are Back!

For the past 4 years, we've been making personalized DIY ornaments to sell and for gifts. The money raised was used to purchase items to spread lots of holiday love and cheer. In 2018, this was the style we chose. Wood slices.

For the personalized wood slice ornaments, we offered a handpainted snowman or pawprints. In addition to the personalized ornaments, I made others to sell in sets during our Bodacious 12 Days of Christmas.

Last year, we made this style. Lisa cut and sanded chunks of wood. We offered a variety of colors with either a handpainted snowman or pawprints.

During this time, we had a lot of people reach out asking if we had any of the wood slice ornaments available.

Unfortunately, we didn't.

With all of the requests for our wood slice ornaments, we agreed that we would offer that style this year.

At the time, we had no idea that COVID-19 would have a big impact on our Bodacious DIY Dog Mom Projects this year.

We didn't make our usual Spring and Summer collection. We didn't go to yard sales for items that we could give a makeover to or repurpose to sell. We didn't make our wooden pumpkins. Shortly before Lisa's staycation last month, we decided that we were not going to make our usual supply of wooden snowmen and other holiday pieces and baskets.

However...

We decided to go forth with our personalized wood slice ornaments. I ordered and received the wood slices during the week Lisa was on staycation.

I ordered 48 pieces.

Some will be used for our personal 2020 ornaments. Some will be used for gifts.

The rest...we'll be offering to the public.

It will be the first time this year that we will be making something to sell and I'm fairly certain it will be the only thing we make.

It will be the first time in years that we won't be swamped during the holiday season because of projects and gifts and shipping and fulfilling custom orders.

But, we'll still be busy.

We still have the kitchen and bathroom to paint and renovate.

I have a ton of projects that I want to tackle in the Bodacious DIY Dog Mom Workshop for our home.

The list is long.

It will keep me content throughout the Winter months.

Hopefully in the Spring, we can resume with making pieces to offer to the public.

As always, I'll keep you posted.
