I Put My Foot Down And There Was No Resistance

Lisa is officially on a staycation. Happy dance. It's been a long few weeks. As with any Saturday, there are things she wants to get done. However. Beyond that, I put my foot down. I told her that she is to be on the sofa with our kids. Total downtime. Exhale. Relax.

Lisa did not dispute this so I know she needed it.

Within 5 minutes of Lisa extending the footrest on the sofa, all 4 of our kids found their comfy spots nestled up against Lisa.

About 20 minutes later, Lisa and our kids were sleeping.

And, they are napping sound.

No interruptions.

No noise.

Our house is super insulated so we barely hear cars going by.

In fact, if it's pouring rain, we don't know about it until we are on the screened-in back porch.

While Lisa and the kids are napping, I'll be working on blog columns and other Work at Home Dog Mom stuff as I'm doing now.

Prepping dinner.

With that being said, when Lisa is on staycation, I try to stay unplugged as much as possible. We do have plans on getting our bedroom painted and possibly the hallway and entryway.

That will include a shopping spree at Home Depot on Monday.

I'll keep you posted throughout the week.

Stay tuned...
