Here Is Our Big, Bodacious Dog Mom News....

It has been over a week since I published a blog column. Yes, I feel guilty. However. Something happened earlier this month. Something really great. At first, we kept it to ourselves. Then, we decided to share with our family and friends who have become family. Toward the end of last week, we shared with a few more people. Today, well...it's time to share. Here. Because it is a really big deal and a gigantic leap...

Almost 2 weeks ago, we got approved for a house loan.

Yeah.

Pretty big news.

The even bigger news is that after looking at several houses, we found one that was perfect for our family. We both got that vibe almost immediately.

I'll tell you more about that later.

We made an offer. The sellers accepted.

From that moment on, I can't even begin to explain the whirlwind of emotions, stress, excitement, and chaos. There has been a mound of paperwork to go through and sign, emails, documents to gather, etc.

After dinner, Lisa and I have spent most evenings signing online documents from our realtor and lawyers and researching house insurance.

Neither one of us has been sleeping well at night because of the whirlwind of emotions surrounding buying a house.

Some of those emotions extend further beyond the formalities and paperwork and such.

I'll tell you more about that later.

Yesterday, I made an announcement on my personal Facebook wall about the happenings over the past week and a half. I needed to. Throughout that time I have received over a dozen messages and emails asking if we are okay because I haven't been posting much.

Today, I posted another update.

Because.

Earlier today was the big inspection day.

And, the house passed inspection with flying colors.

We are one step closer.

It is all happening so fast, but that's a great thing.

But, it's a monumental change.

One that we are embarking on with great thought and planning.

I'll tell you more about that later.

So, that's our big news.

I realize it's vague and lacks my usual charismatic and personal detail, but...

I need to make homemade dog treats for our kids and continue my usual Dog Mom stuff.

I will definitely keep you posted.

In more detail.

Daily.
