I Will Be Unplugged Most Of The Time During Our Mini Staycation Next Week

Lisa is taking a few "vacation" days next week. Wednesday. Thursday. Friday. For us, that translates to enjoying a Staycation. We're both looking forward to it. We have a few plans which include hosting a small backyard party for Lisa's department at work to thank them for their hard work and dedication. Lisa will be transitioning into her new position shortly.

I'm determined to be unplugged during most of our Staycation. I've been itching to spend some lengthy time outdoors. With Lisa. Our kids. To be in the moment. Enjoy time with our neighbor friends who have become family. Soak up a little vitamin D. Maybe get some water therapy. Be spontaneous.

This little Staycation is a break that we both need.

Since March, Lisa has been working insane hours. Despite planning around the unpredictable hours she works, it's been hard on the both of us. She's busting her ass and coming home completely exhausted. I'm pulling double duty at home. I miss her. Our kids miss her.

On the weekends, we try our best to catch up on household projects and creating new pieces in the woodshop and the Bodacious DIY Dog Mom Project Workshop. At the same time, we are trying to maintain a balance of "work hard, play hard."

This Staycation will give us a chance to catch up, exhale, spend lots of time together as a family, spend time with neighbors who have become family, have some fun, etc.

Is it next Tuesday yet?
