Our Floors Were Decorated With Toys

I took this photo last week during the early afternoon hours. I was doing housework. I picked up all the kid's toys and distributed them into the 4 DIY Doggy Toy Boxes in the home office and living room. Lisa called during her break. After our chat, I finished cleaning the bathroom. I grabbed the vacuum and made my way back to the home office. This was waiting for me. I looked at Willa who was laying comfortably on the decorative chair. Her nub of a tail was wagging.

Yep. Guilty.

Today was the first day since getting sick that I didn't have a fever, chills or aches. I had a little energy. Enough to bake a couple of sugar pumpkins to make the pumpkin pie for tomorrow and to do a little housework.

The photo reflects what all of the floors looked like. Home office. Living room. Kitchen. Bedroom. Workshop.

I haven't picked up the kid's toys like I usually do every day.

Coco and Willa emptied out most of the toy boxes.

I was quite surprised that I hadn't slipped on or tripped over any of their toys over the past few days.

Grace is not my middle name.

Little by little, I picked up the toys. Swept the kitchen floor. Vacuumed the carpets.

I worked on a couple of things in the Bodacious DIY Dog Mom Workshop.

That was enough to exhaust me.

I probably overdid it, but tomorrow is Thanksgiving and I wanted to at least get some stuff accomplished.

For now, it's time for my evening dose of DayQuil.

And sleep...
